SHOULD ALCOHOL BE BANNED?
We can scarcely turn on televisions or pick up newspapers these days without being confronted with yet another depressing news item about the alcohol law. Some people, whom I agree with, believe that alcohol should be banned for society welfare level. They also claim that alcohol triggers committing crime. On the other hand, others think that alcohol ban is to interfere in life style. To begin with, the supporters of this argument that alcohol results in loss of consciousness. This is because alcoholic people commit crime more than others. For example, statistics and researches clearly show that the rate of domestic violence is high in family in which those who drink alcohol a lot live. That is, parents of alcoholic people are exposed to physical and verbal violence In addition to this, majority of traffic accidents result from negligence of alcoholic people. Moreover, using alcohol prepares the ground for various diseases such as cirrhosis. Additionally, process of the treatment requires a lot of money. Because of this, economic situations of people who are treated deteriorate. On the other hand, some people who are the opponents of this argument claim that alcohol ban is to intervene in life style and entertainment freedom. They also claim that if we carefully drink alcohol we can prevent from serious problems which damage people. However, they ignore some significant points. One of which is the fact that people who drink alcohol adversely set an example to children. If we can think in terms of the long term effect this may lead to bringing up alcoholic people in the future. To sum up, it seems that the debate over alcohol ban is likely to continue for a long time. Some people reject alcohol ban because this is invention in life style while others reject it for many reasons. However, it is quite clear that drinking alcohol damage people. In short, it can be deduced that drinking alcohol is so hazardous...
