A parent can help the child understand things in life, like how he is able to make things happen, how he has consequences for some actions. A child needs to be helped in growing a strong trust between them and their parent/guardian. 3. What are some things that have a negative effect on a child’s self-esteem? How are children affected by these factors? The way a child might fit in could have a negative effect on them, they might feel insecure about it. Also parents fighting at home have strong negative consequences on children.

Children love the feeling of accomplishment, as a parent you should always give them that when they have done right. They need to feel relaxed, like what they are doing in school is a breeze so they can get their work done on time and get the grades they need.
